The EPLGA maintains strong ties with the LGA office at state level as well as the state departments with a role in local government.  One of our major roles is to represent the combined interests of Member Councils across a range of local government initiatives.

The EPLGA works co-operatively with many other regional organisations including:

Regional Development Australia – Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula Inc (RDA WEP)

Eyre Peninsula Natural Resource Management Board

RDAWEP is the leading regional development agency for the Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula region.  The organisation supports the development of initiatives to strengthen the agriculture, fishing, aquaculture, manufacturing, mining, tourism and food industries, with a focus on sustainable economic, community and environmental development.

The Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management (NRM) Board has responsibilities to work with the community to set the direction for managing the region’s natural resources for our social, economic and environmental wellbeing.
